Appointment Booking and Intake

Clients may contact Haven by phone, email, or text to inquire about or book appointments. Once contact is made, staff will enter client information into a secure, encrypted third-party platform designed for health services.

• Intake forms and health-related questions are completed within that secure platform — not on our website.

• This third-party platform is hosted in the United States. As such, personal information stored there may be subject to U.S. privacy laws and accessible to U.S. government authorities under lawful request.

• We strongly recommend that personal health information not be shared via email or social media, as these channels are not secure.

Donor Information​

Donor details are stored in a secure, encrypted third-party donor management system located in the United States. Haven ensures that service providers enter agreements committing to safeguards consistent with Canadian privacy law.

Please note: donor information hosted in the U.S. may be subject to U.S. privacy laws.

Donor information may be used to:

• Provide tax receipts and transaction records

• Communicate impact updates and invitations to events

• Send surveys or requests for support (with consent)

We do not sell, trade, or rent donor information.

Although our website itself does not store sensitive data, we maintain safeguards aligned with best practices to prevent unauthorized access.

All personal and health-related information collected during services is stored securely in encrypted systems, either within our clinic or through contracted service providers, in compliance with BC’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).​
